The Antigua and Barbuda Workers’ Union (ABWU) is proud to announce the launch of ABWU Connect, a revolutionary online membership portal designed to enhance the way the Union serves and engages with its members.
ABWU Connect represents a significant step forward in the Union’s ongoing mission to provide greater accessibility, transparency, and efficiency in its operations. Through this user-friendly platform, members can now access key services and information with just a few clicks.
ABWU Connect offers members the ability to:
- Contact union officers and request appointments
- Get notifications and updates on their cases and matters at the union
- Get notifications and browse employment opportunities
- Stay up to date with events and activities happening at the union
- Stay informed about membership benefits
- Get notified and stay connected to union activities at their workplaces
The platform is secure, mobile-friendly, and tailored to meet the evolving needs of today’s workforce. It empowers members to take charge of their union experience and remain actively connected to the support and advocacy they deserve.
General Secretary of the ABWU, Sen. David Massiah, urges all members to register and explore the platform.
“ABWU Connect is a powerful tool that puts the services of the Union directly in the hands of our members. I encourage every member to activate their account and take full advantage of the opportunities and support the technology provides.”
The launch of ABWU Connect is just one element of a wider digital transformation initiative being undertaken by the Union. In 2023, the ABWU developed and implemented the Trade Union Enterprise Software (TRUE) — a custom-built management system designed to streamline and coordinate multiple operational functions of the Union. TRUE serves as the backbone for this digital evolution, ensuring greater efficiency, improved record-keeping, and seamless communication.
Together, TRUE and ABWU Connect position the ABWU as a leader in modern, tech-driven unionism in the Caribbean.
