Excellent Representation with No High, Upfront Costs.
ABWU is staffed by a team of highly competent and experienced Industrial Relations Officers and supporting clerical staff. Since 1967 we have negotiated better wages and superior benefits for workers. The ABWU was instrumental in establishing a thrift fund and medical insurance for hotel workers and has recently introduced paternity leave benefits for workers across many industries.
Members of the Union pay a monthly membership fee and are entitled to representation for grievances being handled at the workplace, Labour Department or the Industrial Court. Non-members on the other hand are required to pay an upfront consultation fee and an additional case fee to have their matter processed by the Union.
