The Youth Arm of the Antigua and Barbuda Workers’ Union (ABWU) is finalising preparations for its first-ever Children’s Christmas Party, set to draw hundreds of children to the Merryland Amusement Park on Sunday, December 14.
This festive event will provide children of Union members with a truly special experience, full of joy and unforgettable moments.
The celebration will feature a visit from Santa Claus, games, rides, face painting, and a variety of holiday treats, creating a cheerful space where children can enjoy the excitement and warmth of the season.
President of the ABWU Youth Arm, Blair Rose, emphasised the purpose behind the initiative:
“This Christmas party allows all our members’ children to experience the joy and magic of Christmas, regardless of the unique circumstances of each family. Every child deserves moments of happiness and celebration, and we are proud to help make that possible.”
Beyond the fun and excitement for the little ones, the event also provides a meaningful moment for ABWU members to gather, reconnect, and strengthen solidarity through fellowship. The Union believes that shared celebrations like this deepen unity and build community spirit among workers.
Members are encouraged to register their children in advance and participate in this joyful new tradition.
